It's the mini cooper cake!
Oh HI there!
So another day, another cake. This time it's a mini cooper fruit cake I created for the biscuiteers! The plan is to aim it at the fathers day crowd in June, but it's in the shop now if you want to pop by...
Really, the pictures explain themselves in this case - and there's lots of them because there's lots of detail.
Again, picture quality is a bit rubbish but I've vowed to take my good camera in next time so you won't have to put up with smeared screens for much longer....
Anyway, enjoy and if you've got any questions, just ask, I'm always up for a chat.

Under 'da' sea cake!!!
Hello everyone! So excited to share with you this cake that I did for the biscuiteers.. It combines two of my most favorite things- fish and cake (No it's not a big squidgy fish cake inside, that would be eyw! Its a double chocolate dream if you must know)
Anyway, I also kindly added a sing along version of The Little Mermaid - Under The Sea song as a kinda sound track to the pics, so ENJOY!
Oh and a word on the pics - they're not my best, I know. I took them on my phone and yeah, at some points the lens is actually distorted with buttercream. Really, I have no excuse, I'll just have to promise to do a better job next time.
Speak soon y'all!

The London cityscape cake...
Here’s the cake and cookie favours I made
back in March for the lovely Donna and Ozie. The cake was a chocolate
affair with raspberry buttercream cutting through in pretty pink stripes.
When I heard the happy couple were having a city wedding and were happy giving me creative reign I knew I had to crack out this design! I'd been thinking about it for far too long; A city scape, with the silhouette of the happy couple having let go of a balloon which floats over the spires and roof tops of london town.
Here's a couple of how I did it pics...
The sparkly red heart shaped balloon, with my signature fluffy clouds.
Some close ups of the detail. Oh the colour scheme was purple and red by the way...
Donna and Ozie. I'd never actually met them (though i feel i now now them very well!) But yeah, I asked them for a description of themselves and they came back with this; Ozie tall and bald, Donna petite with a curly bob. It was really funny actually because I met Ozie by complete chance on the way out of the hotel and actually, I thought he looked just like his illustration! I kind of went for a paper cut-out look... what do you think?
It's all on here. Big Ben, the wheel, the gherkin...
And here's the cookie favours! Yummy vanilla. They went down a storm apparently and make great place names.
NEXT TIME: the Mini Cooper cake!

A most curious wedding fair April 19th-21st
It has been exactly a week since I did this bridal show, held at the Truman Brewery, east london.. I had a great time and thought I might just give you a quick little photo round up of how it went as well as introduce you to a few friends I made along the way...
Here was my little stand all set up.. yes maybe not quite as grand as the National Wedding Show, but more intimate and personal shall we say...
My new Jackson Pollock inspired cake made it's debut.
I ran out of business cards half way through so ended up doing a few 'bespoke' hand written ones. I actually really liked them!
My neighbours and brew providers The Vintage Sisters
My next door neighbour whom I bonded over a flask of tea and pork pie with Veronica Dearly It was a pleasure hanging out with Veronica and her boyfriend over the course of the weekend and made the whole experience all the more pleasurable. I urge you to check out her site too, her stuff is awesome!
Here's Lician of www.stresslesstravel.co.uk Another of my neighbours and absolute GEM! Really, I'd book a holiday off her any day, she was so, so nice! Oh and she too is a lover of cake...
The lovely Diana Patient Photography
Joelle Reeves and her lovely sparkly headwear. I'm currently chasing up her website details so watch this space...
I shared a bus ride home with these guys, Maz and Chris I believe they're called ( I remember that because I have a friend called Maz and my names Chris.. easy). They have developed a flippin great idea. Have a look at their website fancyfeatures.com Basically they paint a mural specific to your event in black and white and then you invite your guests to paint on top of it with those delicious (delicious in a painterly sense) chalk pens..! Really its wins all around. The paintings look amaze balls, you're encouraging your guest to engage and you have a momento to keep of your day. I want one now!
Behind all businesses, especially bridal, you need to have someone personable to work with. The following links have nice people behind them whom I would recommend, have a look at their websites why dont you?!
Also I met Crystal Heirlooms at the National Wedding Show back in february. I can't seem to find their website but click on the link to go to their facebook. The woman who heads it is a diamond!
And last but not least Hattie And Flora, through which I found out about the fair in the first place. Fellow Princes trust graduates.. I love what they do and if your taste is anything like mine, I think you will too.
